  Tap On  the “On This Day ” and set it to None.

Turn Turn off  “On This Day” Memories on Desktop or Laptop follow the same procedure, you have the privilege to customize it to your taste if there are some “On This Day”notifications you still want to be receiving.

Login to your Facebook on desktop and scroll down to the left corner , click on see more . You will see “On This Day” below it, tap on it. You will see two options Notifications and Preferences.

On the Preference panel, You can set preference  like say if there some people you don’t want their On This Day Notification or a particular date you will not like to receive “On This Day” notification. You can immediately set it through the preference settings.

If there are dates you don’t want to see memories , you can set it on the preference tab.

To completely turn off “On This Day” posts, click on None.

One of the first games to take advantage of the new rich gameplay features is Zynga’s Words With Friends. Words With Friends, one of the most popular game apps of all time, is now available as a feature-rich, turn-based game right in Messenger.

People will begin to see new features as game developers start to incorporate the new capabilities with one of Instant Games on Messenger’s biggest hits, Blackstorm’s EverWing, being among the first to use Game bots. Depending on what device you use and where you are located, there are now up to 50 games titles available on Messenger, with more being introduced almost every week. Labor Day

in the United States is a public holiday celebrated on the first Monday in September. It honors the American labor movement and the contributions that workers have made to the strength, prosperity, laws and well-being of the country. 

It is the Monday of the long weekend known as Labor Day Weekend and it is considered the unofficial end of summer. The holiday is also a federal holiday.

Beginning in the late 19th century, as the trade union and labor movements grew, trade unionists proposed that a day be set aside to celebrate labor. "Labor Day" was promoted by the Central Labor Union and the Knights of Labor, which organized the first parade in New York City. In 1887, Oregon was the first state of the United States to make it an official public holiday. By the time it became an official federal holiday in 1894, thirty U.S. states officially celebrated Labor Day.

Canada's Labour Day is also celebrated on the first Monday of September. More than 80 countries celebrate International Workers' Day on May 1 – the ancient European holiday of May Day – and several countries have chosen their own dates for Labour Day.

Beginning in the late 19th century, as the trade union and labor movements grew, different groups of trade unionists chose a variety of days on which to celebrate labor. In the United States a September holiday called Labor Day was first proposed in the 1880s. An early history of the holiday dates the event's origins to a General Assembly of the Knights of Labor convened in New York City in September 1882.^[2] In conjunction with this clandestine Knights assembly a public parade of various labor organizations was held on September 5 under the auspices of the Central Labor Union (CLU) of New York.^[2]Secretary of the CLU Matthew Maguire is credited for first proposing that a national Labor Day holiday subsequently be held on the first Monday of each September in the aftermath of this successful public demonstration.^[3]

An alternative thesis is maintained that Peter J. McGuire of the American Federation of Labor put forward the first proposal in May 1882,^[1] after witnessing the annual labour festival held in Toronto, Canada.^[4]

In 1887 Oregon became the first state of the United States to make Labor Day an official public holiday. By the time it became an official federal holiday in 1894, thirty U.S. states officially celebrated Labor Day.^[1] Thus by 1887 in North America, Labor Day was an established, official holiday.^[5]

Following the deaths of workers at the hands of United States Army and United States Marshals Service during the Pullman Strike of 1894 in Chicago, the United States Congress unanimously voted to approve legislation to make Labor Day a national holiday and President Grover Cleveland signed it into law six days after the end of the strike.^[6] Cleveland supported the creation of the national holiday in an attempt to shore up support among trade unions following the Pullman Strike.^[7] The date of May 1 (an ancient European holiday known as May Day) was an alternative date, celebrated then (and now) as International Workers' Day, but President Cleveland was concerned that observance of Labor Day on May 1 would encourage Haymarket-style protests and would strengthen socialist and anarchist movements that, though distinct from one another, had rallied to commemorate the Haymarket Affair on International Workers' Day.^[7][8]

All U.S. states, the District of Columbia, and the United States territories have made Labor Day a statutory holiday.

How to Change Your Name on Facebook

If you’ve recently changed your name, or you want to separate your professional life from your personal life, you’ll likely want to change your name on Facebook. Facebook frowns upon using fake names,

but allows you to make changes to your real name up to four times. To change your name on Facebook, log into Facebook and navigate to your "Account Settings," then click on your name to open the name editor (or go to "General" and "Name" if using the mobile app). Change your first, middle, and last name as applicable, then click on "Save Changes" to complete the process.

Steps

   Open your account settings. Log in to Facebook and click the Gear icon in the top-right corner of the page. Select “Account Settings”.
   

   • To access this on the mobile app, click the menu button in the top-left corner and scroll down to Account Settings. Select General, and then tap Name.

   Click on your name to open the name editor. You can enter a First, Middle, and Last name, as well as an Alternate name (such as a nickname or maiden name).
   

   • Your name can only be changed four times.
   • Facebook wants you to list your name as it appears on your credit card or ID.
   • You cannot use symbols, numbers, random capitalization, or punctuation.
   • Your middle name cannot be words or phrases.
   • Nicknames should be variations on your real name (Jim instead of James, Meg instead of Megan, etc.)^[1]

   Enter your real name. Facebook does not allow you to impersonate someone else, or create a page for a fictional character. Accounts found in violation of this will be forced to change the name.
   

   • If you want to create an account for an organization, business, or a pet, you will need to create a Facebook Page.

   Click Save Changes. Your new name will be saved, and the change will reflect on your Profile shortly. It can take up to 24 hours for a name change to be approved.

   Facebook is a community where people use the name they go by in everyday life. This way, you always know who you're connecting with.

   You may be having trouble changing your name if:

   • Your name doesn't follow our name policy
   • You changed your name in the last 60 days, or you tried to change it too frequently
   • You were previously asked to confirm your name on Facebook
   • Your name doesn't exactly match the name that appears on something from our ID list

   If you want to limit the audience who sees the name you go by in everyday life on your Facebook Profile, you can adjust your Privacy settings. To do this, visit your Privacy Settings to see who can look you up and contact you.

   Right now, language-specific names are only available in a few countries.

   A language-specific name is the name that you used to sign up for Facebook, translated into another language. If someone uses Facebook in the same language as your language-specific name, they'll see your language-specific name in your profile, search results, posts, comments and photo tags. You'll also see your language-specific name if you use Facebook in that language. Here are some examples of language-specific names:

   To add or edit your language-specific name:

   2. Delete your language-specific name
   3. Enter your Password and click Save Changes

   If you're having trouble adding your language-specific name, it might be because the name you requested doesn't follow our name standards. Keep in mind that the language-specific name should be your authentic name in that language as it would be listed on your credit card or student ID. If you've read our name policies and think that your name was rejected by mistake, let us know.

How to Change Your Facebook Name on an Android Smartphone

Due to Facebook's terms of service, you would never want to change your Facebook name whatsoever as long as there is any genuine reason to do so such as changing your name due to marriage.

Before you go any further towards the process of changing your Facebook name, you must keep in mind that once you make amendments in your name on Facebook, you will not be able to make any further changes before the duration of 60 days. This restriction has been added to Facebook in order to prevent fake IDs and/or frauds.

Once you clearly understand the restrictions and consequences that you might experience after changing your Facebook name, you can follow the steps given below to get the job done using your Android phone:

This entire process is very simple and easy even for the person who is using an Android Smartphone for the first time

1. Turn on your Android phone.
2. From the home screen, tap the Menu button to go to the apps list.
   
3. From the available apps, tap the Facebook icon.
   
4. If you are not already signed in, on the opened window, provide your login details in the appropriate fields and tap the Log In button.
   
5. On the News Feed interface that comes up, tap the More button (Icon with three horizontal lines) from the top-right corner of the screen.
   
6. From the opened More interface, scroll down and tap the Account Settings option available under the HELP & SETTINGS section.
